Karangbolong Beach is a sandy beach wide enough lye, which is bounded by hills composed of clastic sedimentary rocks of volcanic origin. Gray sand-coarse fines derived from these rocks. A wash of large waves that hit the wall of hills produce enough energy to erode, transport and precipitate the return of rock grains. High degree of weathering in this region to accelerate the abrasion process. Local, lava breccia outcrop located near the coast experienced erosion, resulting in the formation of unique abrasion.
Karangbolong coast has the potential to form a strong reverse flow, so it is a dangerous area for swimming. Other activities that can be done is to lure tourists, where some reef fish species is relatively abundant on this beach.
In this coastal area there are also Karangbolong Cave, located on the east side. A long corridor formed on the fractured lava breccia layer. Cave Karangbolong a length of 30 m, width 10 m and a height of about 5 m. Formation breccia known as Gabon is Oligo-Miocene or between 30-15 million years ago, unveiled along with inserts sandstone and clay.

Cave formation is influenced by peruntuhan Karangbolong that occur along the boundary area between pasri tuff stone or clay stone. Peruntuhan hole is getting bigger because the layer of rocks that hang over the roof hole always collapse under their weight. That process is also triggered by the burly-burly that is, whose presence weakens the bond between the components of the power of rock. The process of cave formation is observed both in the east end and south Goa Karangbolong, where on a small scale peruntuhan rocks occur along the boundary of different layers. Because not a limestone cave, the cave is not found Karangbolong ornaments.
